Beautiful & impressive, Victorian, Edward Moore pressed glass large sugar bowl/ basin Of good quality chunky and incredibly heavy Impressed with the Rd 'number' 80013, this dated it to September 1887. A wonderful contoured piece with vertical gadroons on the bowl & spiral gadroons on the lower base. Has two lovely glass rope twist effect handles. Though this is a a sugar bowl and because of the size it could be used for other multiple purposes. Makes a beautiful display centrepiece. Height to top of handles approx: 5.inch, '12.cm'. Excluding handles diameter across top brim approx: 5.inch, '12.cm' With the exception of a shallow slither chip to the upper surface of the foot base that you wouldn't know was there just by the look, detected by touch when running your hand over it. This doesn't alter the over all shape & is not noticeable, other than this it is excellent condition.
