's a very interesting item - it's a Victorian type/style Butler Bell - it has a tapestry/needlepoint like sash with a brass/bronze pull that is attached to a bell....when you needed help from the Butler or other staff, you pulled the sash and rang the bell to summon help - man I wish it was only that easy! This sash with the bell assembly measures about 59" long and it attached to the wall by 2 brass screws on the bell holder. The sash itself is really beautiful tapestry type needlepoint kind of material -it measures 53" long x 7 1/4" wide - marked and made by Rosel Erzeugnisse of West Germany. You don't see to many of these around, so don't wait to bid or you may have to find another way to call your butler! Buyer to pay S,H&I by paypal, money order, cashiers check or personal check.
