Victorian bride's basket dates from the late 1800s, and shows beautiful cranberry art glass with opalescent effects. Ruffled and rippled rim has a thin line of silver-crest. Measures a whopping 12" across at its widest and 4" at its highest point. Ground pontil mark on bottom. Needs a better washing than I gave it...too many ruffles and ripples for me. American Sheffield holder measures 9" wide by 2" high, and is marked on the bottom. Reticulated sides have three "C" shaped hooks. It may have been a later addition. Condition of the glass basket is excellent--NO chips, cracks or issues, plus it rings like a church bell. The base could use a little polishing, but otherwise, it's in great condition too. I can find no dings or dents. Beautiful antique basket is more impressive in person. Shipping is as per the USPS and insurance is required, but please wait for an invoice before paying.
