This is a beautiful piece of Victorian desk furniture and still is very practical and comfortable to work at. It has not been restored and the superb colour and patina that you can see in the pictures comes from time and use. There are some minor issues with the veneer to the sides top curve area only and the slide needs to be understood. As you can see it is a two pedestal piece the top is separate, there is a gallery to the top and all the drawers are in excellent condition, all the knobs are original and also in top condition. The inner drawers are faced with birds eye maple and they all work well, original leather inserts, adjustable writing slope. I will give the dimensions in inches because after all it is Victorian....Height 43.5" Depth 30" Length 60" As with most antique pieces there are some points which could be improved in operation,the original lock has been removed but there is no damage, for me it is fine as it is.
