Double your traffic. I am pleased to offer for sale this Victorian Eastlake Walnut and Burl Walnut Secretary Captains Style Desk with Fancy Gallery Top circa early 1880's. This desk is a fine example of the Eastlake style with incised carvings and Pin & Cove (Knapp Joints) dove-tailing of the late 1800's. This desk measures a total height at the back to the top of the pierced gallery of 51 1/2 inches, total height to the top shelf in front of the gallery is 46 1/2 inches, a total width of 30 inches, and a total depth of 18 inches, depth at the top is 10 3/4 inches, and this desk weighs approximately 85 lbs. Opening the fall front desk portion reveals the desk area cubbies accented with carved burl walnut and two small burl front storage drawers and a ample writing surface that measures 26 3/4 inches wide,16 3/4 inches deep and the height from the writing surface to the floor measures 29 inches. Under the desk area is a large single storage drawer with period Eastlake brass pulls. The right bottom side of the desk has three additional storage drawers also with burl walnut fronts and brass Eastlake pulls ( however the top pull seems to be a vintage replacement and is not exactly like the other pulls...see picture).The left bottom side has a cabinet which offers more additional storage space, we have included a key to aid in opening read more
