Up for auction is a beautiful Antique Victorian Opal and Ruby Beehive Ring Set in Either 10K or 14K. This is just an awesome piece to purchase and ever so rare! I originally purchased this to sell to a friend, but I believe that when she saw that t was an opal missing, she changed her mind in buying it. In any event, I paid to have the opal replace and now you can be the happy new owner of this fabulous piece! As stated in my previous fine jewelry auctions, I'm not a jeweler so my terminology might be a bit off. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. The design is a period piece with 12 opals on the bottom, 12 rubies on the 2nd level, 12 smaller opals on the third, followed by 5 rubies and lastly, one large opal dead in the center of the ring. The metal is either 10 or 14K, not sure since I don't have a way of testing them and it's not stamped on the inside. I believe the ring is a size 7. The top of the ring, the beehive/dome is exactly 1" tall and 1" wide. This can be good or bad...good if you like big rings, but bad if you get it caught in something.
