This auction is for some great looking pickle tongs. They originally were gilded, however some of the gilding has worn off the smooth part from years of Victorian pickle-eaters. They are very ornate, featuring an angel on the top and on the top part of the tong area is a man that looks sort of like he is holding a wreath and a knife (maybe my imagination is working overboard). On the bottom is some very creepy looking claws. The measure about 7 inches long. T is a stamp on the inside of the smooth part but it's so small I can't read it even with magnifying glasses. Please email me with any questions. Thanks for looking!
