VICTORIAN HARDSTONE AGATE BLUE ONYX LOCKET PENDANT A most unusual 19th century hardstone locket for your consideration. The locket has a warm gilt metal frame and hard stone panels front and back. These have a midnight black base (as seen to interior) and a stunning pale blue front. It has been appraised as blue onyx but it may be agate. Please decide for yourself. The frame to the interior is slightly bent (as seen in photos) but this becomes irrelevant when locket is closed. No frames or glass inside. The overall appearance is extremely striking as the black base of the stone can be seen as a layer under the pale blue. Strong hinge and locket closes securely. A jump ring to top allows for wear on a chain. Measurements: 2.5cm by 1.6cm (including jump ring) with depth of 0.7cm. A fabulous locket, with a deep case to hold a personal memento; this has a stunning appearance in wear. Please see photos for clear detail of what is on offer.
