VICTORIAN 14K GOLD MOURNING JEWELRY OR SENTIMENTAL LOVE TOKEN WOVEN HUMAN HAIR WATCH CHAIN / FOB VICTORIAN 14K GOLD MOURNING JEWELRY OR SENTIMENTAL LOVE TOKEN WOVEN HUMAN HAIR WATCH CHAIN / FOB This is a gorgeous piece of Victorian mourning jewelry or a Sentimental Love Token. During the Victorian era, women saved their hair in something called a Hair Receiver and then would weave it for their loved ones. Sometimes the hair jewelry was given to family members and loved ones after the person's death to remember the person by and this was called Mourning Jewelry. Other times it was given by a sweetheart to their loved one or by daughters to their fathers, just as a token of their love. This beautiful piece is made by weaving human hair into a chain. T is a 14k yellow gold tip on one end and in the center t is round 14k yellow gold piece. This watch chain or fob measures approximately 10.25 inches in length. One end is missing the gold piece with the loop at the end. T is no marks indicating gold content but we have tested it and can guarantee it to be 14K. T is a gorgeous engraved design on the tip end gold piece and the center round piece has a beautiful repousse design.
