This is a beautiful Victorian punch paper religious motto which reads Sweet Rest in Heaven. The words are stitched in blue thread as is the border surrounding it. I believe the blue stitching is rare and highly desirable. Above and below the wording is a beautiful green vine with red rosebuds adorning it. The motto is framed in an adirondack criss cross frame with a leaf on the upper right and lower left corners and still has the original wavy glass front. T is one water stain on the motto (which is typical for these) under the word rest but it's very hard to see unless looked at in the right light. Most of these mottos have water stains around the edges but this one doesn't so I consider this in Very Good condition. The motto itself measures 23 3/4" x 8" and is in great condition with all the stitching completed. This is my favorite Victorian motto but I need to sell it and that is why I am offering such a reasonable Buy It Now Price.
