Victorian Rustic Antique Pine Sea Chest Toy Blanket Box Trunk Coffee Table Rustic Antique Pine Sea Chest Circa 1890 Made of beautiful heavy solid pine, this original Antique chest is a real feature piece of rustic furniture. The old wood has a real rustic look & feel about it. With hand cut dovetail joints, lid trim detailing, full base plinth detailing so you can place this chest in the centre of a room, original lock (no keys). There are rope handles at each end for easy lifting and carrying. (recently replaced) Opening the lid reveals a clean interior which has been sealed with a satin varnish at some point. **************************************************** Ideal to be used as a toy box, coffee table or medium size blanket chest with plenty room inside to store away your magazines, cd's/dvd's, shoes, toys, spare bedding etc. A feature storage chest in your living room, bedroom, study or even bathroom. This chest has age old knocks, bumps and bruises as you would expect from a chest of this age. The minimal old woodworm & rot has been fully treated as a precaution, signs to the interior only. The lid planks have slight movement due to the old wood shrinkage as you can see in the photos. This is a strong chest.
