This auction is for a beautiful antique handmade silk lace (Victorian lace) blouse and slightly gathered, sheer silk chiffon sleeves with tiny picot edging. Underneath the armpit the sleeves are opened about 5" in length (Photo 4). It has minimal flaws in which there are threadbreaks at the armpit as shown in Photo 3. This can be repaired;the photo makes the tear appear huge. The only other place that I detect is that along the back at edge of neckline there are a few threadbreaks which are most likely from it being stretched. This is also minor, since I believe that one can make the repair with fine stitching;it is also not that noticeable. This small in size and is much lovelier in person. It appears that there was something attached at the waist for closure. I would be happy to include a small piece of silk velvet ribbon for this purpose. It is being sold "As Is". This burns like silk;it is not a flimsy, deteriorating textile;it has more substance although it should still be handled delicately. This is definitely wearable. FREE SHIPPING USA ONLY
