Prev Stop Play Next Parrot in Lighted Glass Dome by Victorian Era Taxidermist, James Gardner By renowned Victorian-era taxidermist, James Gardner - label affixed to underside of wood base. Dome is lighted. A small white Christmas bulb is in a small socket which has been wired through the bottom of the wooden case and has a 30" electrical cord. Bulb does not light up when cord is plugged in. Glass dome on wooden base stands about 18" tall. Wooden base appears to be oak and is about 9-1/2" in diameter and 2" high. Parrot is approx. 15" from the top of his head to the tip of his tail feathers and his feet are grasping a branch which appears to be set into the wooden base between some faux rock formations and dried plants and greenery. The floor of the dome has some dried moss scattered on it and what appears to be the remnants of 2 small eggs. Though the parrot looks grumpy, he is in very good condition and appears to have all of his feathers and there is no sign of bugs or bug activity. The dried plant material has seen better days. The glass dome appears to be original. There is a pie-shaped piece at the bottom of the dome where it slides into the groove on the base, measuring 2" x 2-1/2" which appears to have broken off and then glued back together. It is barely noticeable and did not show in the picture. I will attempt to get a read more
