I am selling a Tea Set that I believe dates to the Victorian Era. It comprises 12 cups, 12 saucers, 12 side plates, a jug, a bowl and a serving plate. Each item has been individually decorated with daffodils or irises - they are all different. The colours range from yellows to pinks. They are all edged with gold. The cups, bowl and jug are also decorated on the inside. The set has been valued by an auctioneer at considerably higher than the starting price! The condition of the set is excellent for its age. (1 cup has a chip to the rim (1/4" wide) and another cup has had a piece broken off and glued back in place.) Cups measure 3.5" in diameter, 2.25" tall. Saucers measure 5.75" in diameter. Side plates measure 7.5" in diameter. Jug measures 3.25" tall. Bowl measures 5.5" in diameter, 3" tall. Serving plate measures 9.25" in diameter. (All measurements are approx.) The complete set weighs 14lbs (6.5kg). It will be quite expensive to post as it will need very thick packaging to protect it. Please look at my other listings! NB: I am not a dealer - I am merely clearing out my double garage which I cannot get into, owing to a century`s collecting (yes, literally!) by my family. I am doing this whilst it remains fun, so may not continue much longer.... I am not an expert so please ask any questions before bidding! I will happily read more
