I'm in the process of thinning out a portion of my personal military aviation collection, and have this original Vietnam / SE Asia era in-county jungle hat along with a well used fight suit combo up for auction this week. This particular bush hat is an outstanding example of the infamous "go-to-hell" cowboy hat worn by essentially all of the USAF aircrew and ground crews in SE Asia. In excellent condition, it has a red interior, but with the exception of a stamped "6", t are no maker or manufacturer's marks evident. A pin backed Major's insignia is affixed to the front, and a great looking "Thailand" tab on the right flap. Both snaps are intact, and it even still has the thin mesh over the vent covers and the plastic holder for the chin strap. The flight suit does not have an interior tag and an area indicating a sewn repair to the back, along with a smattering of moth nipping to the lower pockets. The flight suit has been worn, but t is also no indication that any patches or insignia were ever sewn on, and all of the snaps and zippers are intact and function. Great for a mannequin display.High bidder to pay with PayPal or a money order (preferred for immediate shipment) or a personal check (held for the usual clearance period).Good luck with your bidding an please feel free to email me with any questions.
