If you are looking for a COMPLETE Vietnam Era helmet it should have the following features: â-o M1 Steel Helmet with T1 chin straps (both sides) w/ concussion snap. â-o M1 liner with top/side webbing held with black Â"AÂ" washers. â-o A leather/canvas webbing headband (sweatband) with contractor numbers prior to1976, â-o A nape (rear neck) strap fastened in three places into the liner hardware. â-o A Mitchell Pattern camo cover with contractor numbers prior to 1976. â-o Either a neoprene (OD#7) (Army) band or a black rubber band (USMC). THIS IS A COMPLETE VIETNAM ERA HELMET! This is an excellent example of a Vietnam War American infantry helmet with year-matching numbers (1969 with a 1965 camo cover) and complete with all components present. The Steel Helmet: This is an M1 helmet with a rear edge seam and swivel strap bales. It has the OD#7 green cotton webbing chin straps with the ball & clevis release system in good condition. It has the anchor logo on the metal parts. T are no dents and no rust. The paint/silica shows normal use rubs but is in excellent condition. The Liner: The liner shell has no cracks and no breaks.
