This is an exceptionally stunning and beautiful vibrant colored plate by VILLEROY & BOCH RUSSIAN FAIRY TALES SERIES named THE SNOW MAIDEN AND LEI the SHEPHERD BOY. .This 1980 first issue in this series, dated May 2, 1980, This is a limited edition world wide with only 27,500 and t will never be any future editions of this plate. This is an outstanding collector's plate and comes with Authenticity and original Heinrich box....both the inside and outside shipping box...the outside shipping box has HEINRICH...PORZELLAN...GERMANY imprinted all over and most have a sticker on the side, with the identity of the item inside. T is some wear on both boxes and some staining as they have been in a storage area for several years. Why would anyone leave these beautiful exciting plates in storage when they could have been enjoyed! The outside box still has the Bradford Exchange address label to the person who purchased this plate and date it was shipped....and price it cost to ship. This plate has never been displayed or never sold retail.....until now.This plate is 8 1/4 inches and the Bradex No. 22-H.18-1.13. This plate has the exciting Russian decor, on the border, in 24-Karat Gold with shades of dusty rose, purple, greens, gold and blues.
