LOVELY VILLEROY & BOCH AMAPOLA 10.5" SOUP TUREEN W/LID - $190 RETAIL - FINE GERMAN PORCELAIN - DISCONTINUED PATTERN - MINT Up for auction we have a dramatic Villeroy & Boch 10.5" soup tureen with lid in the popular but now discontinued pattern Amapola . The retail price for this piece is $190, if you can find it . It measures 10.5" tall from the bottom of the foot to the top of lid's knob. The tureen is 11" in diameter (measured handle to handle) and the bowl itself is 6" high. Very pretty, this Villeroy & Boch piece would make a wonderful wedding gift and is in mint condition with no cracks, chips, crazing, or any other signs of wear. This tureen features the much sought after Villeroy & Boch pattern Amapola (means poppy, which is the California state flower), a colorful but contemporary green, peach, and blue floral design sprayed across snow white bone china. Like most fine china tureens, it is notched on one side of the lid for easy insertion of a fancy soup ladle (see photos).
