Somewhat of a rare and hard to find version of the Universal Waffle Maker from the 1920's. This particular is patent 111824, serial # E69241E. Universal is made by Landers, Frary, and Clark of New Britain Conn. And of all the irons that I have seen, none have the decorative top cover that this one has. The decorative plate is 5 1/2" in diameter The waffle plate is 7 1/2" in diameter and the overall Iron with handels is 13". It stands about 5 " off of the table. There are 3 legs on the bottom 2 side handles, and a lift. All are bakelite. There is a yellow waffle done light and a lever for light, medium, and dark. The metal used appears to be chrome steel with the exception of the handles which appear to be engraved steel. When the waffle iron is plugged in, nothing happens. No heat, no light, nothing. Please keep this in mind when bidding.
