There were only 2 of these Fort Knox Drive-In signs in existence, sold one last week to California, here is the final one... really nice condition, some patina and chips to porcelain, see all photos ....The winner is buying this vintage original 1940's 1950's PORCELAIN "DRIVE IN ENTRANCE" NEON SIGN from the Fort Knox Drive-In Movie Property when it first opened late 40s, early 50s. This sign is great because it is porcelain, as well as only saying "Drive In Entrance" and not being personalized...plus the condition is really really good, a good strong solid sign....there is some age patina, but no bends, no creases. Found in a heap of old stuff leaning up in an old lot in Kentucky. This measures about 48inches long, and 24.5 inches high...has some of the original antique glass insulators for the neon on back, as you can see in the photos; these are threaded and screw into the metal, we believe you can see this in photos that the insulators are about 4inches deep ... See all photos, they are part of description. This is a dark dark green with dark yellow letters -- all porcelain front and backside, too. Priced cheap -- Hey, this one won't last long, Jack .... Bidding/buying/shipping to Lower 48 States only; buyer pays insured shipping $40 to Lower 48 States only.
