This beautiful vintage engagement ring (circa 1950's, NOT a reproduction piece) features a 3.4mm GENUINE, NATURAL H COLOR, VS - SI1 CLARITY EUROPEAN CUT DIAMOND weighing an estimated .15CT in the center with four more GENUINE, NATURAL H COLOR, VS - SI1 CLARITY DIAMONDS totaling .04CT on the sides of the shank. The diamonds spread a little over 1/2" across your finger. The ring is crafted of SOLID 14K WHITE GOLD WEIGHING 2.1 GRAMS. It is stamped 14K and the gold has been acid tested to guarantee accuracy. The condition is excellent - no damage to the diamonds and the gold is in very good shape all around. The ring has an inscription inside - "___ to ___" (I never put the initials in my item descriptions, email me if you want to know) with a date of 12-25-78. The date does not fit with the age of the ring; the style is definitely 50's and the old cutting method on the diamonds dates them to the late forties - early fifties. My impression is that this ring belonged to a family member, perhaps the mother of the groom? and was passed to the young couple when they started their life together.
