Features: This is a very beautiful vintage ring. Made of solid 14K gold with rare Bolivian minded round cut dark violet amethyst stone (a more valuable amethyst than the more common lighter purple) with 3 round full cut white diamonds. Hallmarked: "14K" . Amethyst stone is of very excellent fine quality. Amethyst stone is approx 3 cts , measuring: 10 mm by 10 mm with depth of approx 6.2 mm . Some assume this type of amethyst is a color changing amethyst, however, amethyst stone does not exactly change in color but only gives the appearance of color change due to reflection of various lighting. In day light appearing a little more purple violet with bluish hue and under incandescent light, appearing more reddish purple . Diamonds total nearly 1/10th ct , at approx 3 pts each. Diamonds are of good quality (SI1, and within white color range, sparkling beautifully). Ring is beautifuly custom made , impressive smith workmanship and well made in an eye catching modernist retro hand laced era pattern . Face of ring measures up to 13.8 mm by about 11 mm . From where ring rest on finger top to top of amethys stone: 6.8 mm as its inner arched mounting lays beautiful on finger. Shank widths: 2.5 mm and 2 mm in back . Weighs: 3.1 grams .
