Missus Teasdale presents an adorable 17" vintage felt doll with shoebutton eyes and a tiny, painted rosebud mouth. She's not marked or tagged and is a bit of a mystery. I have no idea of her date or manufacturer, but she definitely shows age, even though charming! She has very large, chubby feet with stitched toes, no ears and a center seam on her face and body; maybe these traits can be used to identify her. Her arms and head are jointed, while her legs are sewn across the hips and tend to swing. She's only in acceptable condition, having moth damage to both legs, one arm, on the bottom of the neck near the joint and a few small holes scattered on the front and back of the torso. Her strawberry blonde mohair wig is looped and fastened in an upswept hairdo; it's sparse in places, and she has a 1" x 1 1/2" bald spot at the top of her head (see last photo--it's almost hidden by the large hairbow). Her clothing and long white stockings hide her flaws well, except for the right arm. The rest of the doll is good and fairly clean with no odors and a minor amount of shelf dust; she has nice weight to her body, but will need a stand for display. The vintage dotted pique pinafore and matching underpants came with her and seem to suit her very well. I added the cotton stockings and red patent leather shoes (both vintage 1970s doll repair stock) read more
