Offered is a late victorian Eastlake ebonized picture frame in good ORIGINAL condition. Original Arts Crafts Aesthetic design, handpainted double mat, & seedy glass. Unusual beaded wooden surface decoration. Gessoed & ebonized with carved decoration. It even has the original backboard, which was repaired at some point with a piece of yellowed newspaper?, on which the words: Hardware, Paints and Sleepy Eye, Minn., are printed. Label on the back reads: Trade Mark P * B 1870, No. 4085, With Mat No. 110S. It does have chipping to the edges to be expected with a piece of this vintage, but has no major damage to note. The only alteration, is the modern hanger on the back, t are 2 holes w the original screw eyes were.Measures 7 3/4" wide X 14" high, and ships at 3#.Check my listings for more antique estate items! NOTE: I realized after listing, that I forgot to note that 6 beads are missing of the approx. 125 on the frame. 3 @ the very bottom, 2 on the left hand side of the top crossbar, and 1 in the middle on the right side. Easily replaceable. I try my best to be accurate, but forgot! I guess I'm getting old!
