We have a small selection of circa World War One postcards that we will be posting on ebay over the next several weeks. These postcards were obtained by my grandfather while serving in the American Expeditionary Force - Siberia from 1918 to 1919. None were mailed, but do show their age. Many of them are of Vladivostok, Russia, the Siberian port city where he was stationed. Later during the Cold War years, this port city was a secured submarine harbor for the Soviet Union. Up for sale here is a vintage circa 1919 real photo black and white postcard of the main street in Vladivostok full of people, horses and buggies, and is captioned "Vladivostok, Svetlanskaya Street." This street is still full of shops today! The postcard is from a series and is numbered B.S.59. We are not postcard collectors, so we do not know what grade this card is; but it looks pretty nice to us. Please s ee photos for details. We will ship this item FOR FREE and AT NO ADDITIONAL COST TO YOU by first class mail by inserting it into a plastic zip lock bag and then placing it between two pieces of cardboard slightly larger than the postcard and then placing it inside a mailing envelope. I f you purchase this and wish to pay a different level of mailing, such as priority mail, please let us know prior to checkout so we can change your invoice. Thank you for looking.
