Sweet little Bye-lo Baby Doll I have been notified by a collector that this baby is not a Bye-lo but a clone. She said many dolls were copied, and I am sure she knows her "dolly stuff". I have changed my title and listing, I appreciate the information as always! She is from the 1920's according to the previous owner, it was her mothers. She has a compo head in excellent conditon, her face paint is great on the lips, cheeks and hair, but one eye has the paint chipped of and the other eye has a rub. She has blue eyes, blond hair. No cracks to her head. She is 18" tall. Her hands did not fair so well, the coating (I don't know what you call it) has all but cracked off. The pieces are there, barely hanging on. Her body is a muslin fabric and she is stuffed with excelsior (spelling?) The body is in very good condition, no rips, tears or repairs. Her dress was handmade, not in good conditon, has deteriorated quite a bit, especially nearer to the hem. She is wearing a diaper that I am pretty sure was one of daddys kerchiefs. I am including in this auction a hankmade doll quilt that was with these toys, though I believe it to be from the 50's. It measures 11" by 20", is made of plaid wool, is trimmed in a wonderful printed fabric looks like silk, and is tied with green & purple yarn to hold the battin in place. Just a nice little bonus read more
