Atascadero, CA, 1920's Mechanical Pumpkin Man (see additional information) Head and Body are constructed of California redwood and hand turned on a lathe Hand painted Metal hat and nose Metal lever located on his back is connected to an internal spring loaded rod mechanism. When the lever is pushed it ra ises her hat and nose up and down! Condition Exterior wear is consistent with age. Pease keep in mind that vintage means old tfore age related wear is to be expected which is what gives these wonderful collectibles their charm and desirability Minute hole in lower left eye Paint crazing is consistent with age Lever mechanism intact and works perfectly Internal spring loaded rod is fully functional No cracks or splitting wood; one dent on face Dimensions The Pumpkin Man measures: 5"H x 2.5"W. Additional Information The Poppy Doll Co. of Atascadero, CA, made and sold mechanical dolls all over the world from 1924 until the Great Depression of 1929. Due to the company's very brief five year period of production, the 'Mechanical Pumpkin Man' remains a very r are and hard to find collectible figure. Please review all photos prior to bidding.
