Vintage 1926 Vega Vegaphone Professional tenor banjo in Very Good - Excellent Condition. Serial Number: 70509 Made in Boston, MA, USA. Comes with the original case, also Excellent, and the original Vega-branded lug wrench. This gorgeous classic comes from the original owner's family. The owner was a professional musician from the big band era and cherished this instrument. Banjo appears to be 100% original and is fully intact, nothing is broken, cracked or repaired. Neck is straight. Exceptional workmanship and use of materials with beautiful inlays. Ebony fretboard and frets show moderate wear on the 1st three frets. Neck shows marks from the case but no play wear. There is some wear on the brass arm rest. Excellent playability and tone. A real gem. Will ship internationally. Canada shipping is $75.
