Vintage 1930's Art Nouveau Deco Chrysoprase Glass Bead Necklace This auction is for a colorful and detailed, Art Deco Chrysoprase glass bead necklace, that is from the 1930's.This piece is brass and glass measuring 14 1/4" long, is 1/2" wide at its widest point, and closes securely with its original barrel clasp. This piece is special for its choker design, it rests right at the base of your neck, and for the uniquely shaped and designed glass beads and brass pendants. The glass beads are a bright green that is made to simulate Chrysoprase. The color of the glass is set off by the bright brass caps and spacer beads that extend for the full length of the chain giving the necklace a subtle contrast and visual interest. The front of the necklace has barrel shaped pendants that are constructed from asymmetrical glass beads that joined together create a symmetrical and full shape - quite nice. The brass spacer disks in-between have a beveled outer edge giving the necklace a subtle texture. There are a few small chips and surface scratches to the glass but they are along the edges and corners by the brass beads so they don't compromise the shape of the glass and are noticeable mainly on close inspection.
