Today, hardly anyone cares about the Dionne quintuplets. I have proof. Among the items my wife inherited from her late mother was a set of silver-plated Dionne Quintuplets teaspoons. Each of the spoons ended in a different relief statuette of one of the identical sisters, around age five, looking adorable in the cutest little polka-dot dresses. Inscribed below down the length of the handle were their names: Annette, Cecile, Emilie, Marie and Yvonne. They then were names known around the world.
