Up for bid is a 1930s JC Higgins Lew Fonseca endorsed Basemitt baseball glove. Unique looking mitt, with great leather that is soft and supple. No holes or rips. The heel was restitched at some point. Intact leather lacing is very solid. Black cloth piping has a lot of wear around the edge. Leather liner has chaffing on the palm. It is soft and hole free. Stamps are still pronounced and visible. Model 1677, Lew Fonseca signature endorsement at the heel. Wrist strap is intact, single hole attachment. Youth size glove. An adult hand fits in this fine. Great display item. Good for a new or veteran baseball/ sports collector. Sold as is. Wood stand is not included. Glove has been cleaned and conditioned on the exterior as well as on the inside too.
