Vintage 1933 - 40 Wolverine Drummer Drum Major No. 27 Tin Litho Wind-Up Toy : Vintage 1933 – 40 Wolverine No. 27 Drum Major Chromo Lithograph Toy. He is spring driven, spring does not work . To operate you would normally, wind him up with the key in his back, slide the switch on his side to start and he starts beating his own tune. It’s amazing that he actually beats a tune instead of a steady repetition of drumming (if you turn the key in reverse you can see and hear him beat the tune). He Stands 13 ½” Tall and his base is 6” x 4 ½”. His color is very good but he does have his share of scratches and a rust spot on his chest and right arm.
