Due to a back injury, I try my best to ship items out Monday, Wednesday and Friday, excluding holidays, that throws the days off. So that USPS employees can help me unload. I hate to throw history away, it all has a Story, Character, Charm and could be wroth restoring. I want to tell you every thing I see, so it feels like your looking it over. Possibly more photos than you care to look at. Some, even being a puzzle, you might have to figure it out. Here we are offering this Cute Vintage, Majolica, Figural Tomato Novelty, Made in Japan Two Part Condiment or Jelly Jars, Dish, or Pot with Lids and Figural Stem Handles between the two pots. Both lids have slots for spoons. Brightly Hand Painted in Red-Orance with Green Glazed stems and leaves on a creamy white earthenware body. It bares a Black ink stamp mark on bottom, which reads, "Maruhom Ware, Hand Painted Japan , US Patent No. 103031". By the paten number, I found this was first issued in 1936. It measures almost 4" high at handle, 7¼" x 3½" across widest points and about 3” across lid rest/inner rim. Overall these are in VERY, VERY GOOD condition for its age and use. There are some normal production issues, dimples, pops, skips, some thinness in the coloring, mostly on bottom. The clear glazed interior, with some dark specks in the glaze.
