VINTAGE 1937 Underwood Universal Typewriterw/Case Serial #F959553 This portable typewriter is in stunning, near mint condition.I see only two cosmetic issues to the typewriter itself. There is a small amount of paint loss on the left hand ribbon spool housing as shown in picture #7. And some of the printing on the backside "Made in U.S.A." is partially worn off as shown inpicture #6. There are no missing or broken parts. All keys arein working condition. All other functions work as well. The ribboncurrently on the machine still provides a desirable dark impression.There are two labels on the inside top of the case. The first is awarranty sticker stating the typewriter was sold on 12/21/37 atMontgomery Wards in Minot, ND. The second is a newer foilsticker with the name Western Office Equipment.The case has wear as one would expect. See the last twopictures showing some of the condition issues.The shipping weight of this item is 18 pounds and the shipping boxsize adds a premium, hence the highshipping cost. Shipping charges include insurance. Payment due within 3 days of purchase.
