Offered for auction is a wonderful vintage Noma 1940's tree topper in the form of a lovely angel. This doll like piece has a composition head, torso, and movable arms and her base is a cardboard tube that fits to the top of Christmas tree. She has long creamy hair and prettily painted features with rosy cheeks and her eyes are glancing shyly to the side. She is wearing a vinyl gown that is a creamy white and accented with a silver floral design and has a silver foil belt and halo. She has been embellished with silver and diamond rhinestone bits of vintage jewelry pieces and has little paste rhinestones decorating the hem of her dress. Her original silver foil wings were in tatters so I layered fluffy creamy feathers over the damaged wings and she is now looks ready to soar into the heavens above your christmas tree. She measures 9 inches from the tips of her wings to the hem of her dress. She is in excellent condition and does not have the crazing or cracking in the composition that is often seen on these pieces. She does have a little rub to the tip of her nose that could be touched with a dot of flesh colored paint if desired. She is quite beautiful, looks very antique, and would look wonderful in a silver themed tree or wreath. I have other vintage holiday collectibles listed if you would care to take a look.
