This is a wonderful vintage reverse carved lucite bird brooch/pin withcolored enhancement from the 1940's . 1940'sreverse carved lucite bird and animal pins are very collectible pieces, several examples of which can be found in the collectors book Plastic Jewelry by Kelly and Schiffer. This large bird pin measures approx. 3 1/2" by 2". It has the original straight pin back with C clasp closure which works appropriately and closes securely. This is a beautiful lucite pin or brooch from the Bakelite era which is in very good to excellent vintage condition. It would be perfect for the bird collector, pin or brooch collector, or lucite collector!
