This is a very good condition Vintage 1946 Gillette Milord NDCTTO Double Edge Safety Razor with blades. This razor has light wear with light plating loss for a goldplated razor of this era, and perfectly functioning in the TTO knob and blade doors. This is the 1946 edition of the Milord, distinguished by the smooth band above the TTO knob, the end caps on the blade doors and the lack of a notched center bar, utilizing the I-beam style center bar instead. The head plating is almost entirely intact with the interior of the blade chamber in very good to excellent condition without plating loss. There are signs of wear and minor plate loss, just enough to show that it was used, on the top and bottom of the head, or it would be excellent. The TTO function works exactly as engineered, smooth, and tightens the blade as designed. The razor comes with a packet of new blades. While this razor is beautiful in its art deco simplicity, it is meant to be a working razor, and served as the precursor to the Post War Super Speed models. The razor has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized with commercial grade, metal safe sanitizer and is shave ready.
