VERY RARE VINTAGE TONKA CRANE 1947-1955 This is definately not something you see everyday Tonka & Antique collectors!!!! I think the pictures say it all on this one! This is one of the originals , as it has the original sticker on it stating, " Tonka Toys Mound Metalcraft, Inc., Mound, MN " which is the sticker Tonka used in their first years when they were still Tonka Toys, 1947-1955. This has been used, obviously , but it works like a charm! It moves in every position, spins on its base from every angle & the tires roll fine. On each side of the crane body t's a small crank handle which operates the rope to move the crane up and down. Works great! As far as the condition goes, it has some rust on it, scratches, and the sticker on one side is barely t but is much more definate on the other side. The bucket still had sand in it and we've had this thing for over 10 years, it's not been played with in our care. So the sand, the scratches, it's all part of the beauty in this original find!!! Thanks for looking! Please ask if any questions. Also, t is a " no 0 0 " marked on the arm of the crane. The bucket opens up (w the teeth of the bucket is) as is supposed to as well.
