Billed as "Standard Industrial Reference Book of the Western Hemisphere."Big, heavy catalog measures 6 x 9 inches and numbers a whopping 1600 pages.Brimming with illustrated listings of tools, shop equipment, fire fighting equipment, perforated metals, waste cans, water heaters, railway equipment, burners, furnaces, industrial chemicals and minerals, fountains, insulation (corrugated asbestos, asbestos paper, asbestos millboard), pumps, grease and oil gear, padlocks, brass valves, white enameled ware, cabinet hardware and you name it.Catalog is in acceptable condition with both covers intact. Back cover has begun to detach from spine. Missing first/second page. Heavily worn covers but pages are mostly clean, untorn and unmarked.Fascinating look at the industrial supply business in 1950, including the still widespread use of asbestos as a fire retardant.
