Vintage 1960s Black Patent Leather Kelly Style Handbag DESCRIPTION: Up for auction is this exquisite original vintage 1950s- 1960s black patent Kelly style handbag. Very Mad Men A very stylish and versatile item, perfect for day or evening wear. Could be worn to compliment modern and vintage styles. With gold tone metal frame and clasp. Lined with black lining fabric. Main compartment and zip pocket. PERIOD: c.1958- 1960s The zip is in fact a nylon one, which would suggest that the bag is more likely to be 60s rather than 50s. Whilst nylon zips were used in the 50s, the concealed variety weren't invented until 1958. MATERIAL: Black patent faux leather. SIZE: Width: 26.5cm (at base) Height: 21cm Depth: 9cm (at the base) CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. The patent has some very light, superficial marks but nothing that would detract from it and is in line with the age of the bag.
