This is a beautiful Old Cottage Doll; Welsh Girl, made of felt and cotton produced until 1976, "B" on the Rarity Scale. She has the older classic girl face with the finer painted features; twinkling two-tone blue eyes, eyelashes, brown brows, rosy cheeks, orange-red full lipped mouth. Her dark auburn mohair is styled in two pigtails twisted together and crossed at the back and tightly stitched in place. Her outfit is a black long sleeved wool felt bodice to her dress with yellow stitching details, long white cotton blouse with ruffled edge, fine wool red-green-black & gray striped tweed skirt, black and white checked cotton apron tied in the back with a big bow, fine black wool cape with yellow stitching on the edges with long collar around the back with a silver bead closure at the front, long white cotton slip, long white Pantaloon style undergarment trimmed in lace, black wool felt shoes with big silver buckles that have cardboard bottoms. Her tall welsh hat is fine black wool with a white cotton under cap with a ruffled edge around her face that is tied under her chin in a big black bow. She is in excellent condition.
