Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome .You are looking at a very unique microphone from the 1950's made by Electro Voice. The monstorous 726 Cardyne I mic was E.V's answer to the very popular and extremely large Shure Brothers 55 Fatboy microphone from a few years earlier. The 726 Cardyne I also utilized a dynamic cardioid element and was covered from head to toe in polished chrome with bold, deco lines that deserve attention. This 726 has been thoroughly tested and cleaned.The mic produces a very strong, clear signal so this would be an ideal specimen to actually use for general broadcasting or singing purposes. I don't currently have an offset 3 pin screw on cable for this mic but please ask as I generally come across them very often.The chrome body is in above average condition. I try to get the closest shots possible but sometimes it makes the microphone look worse than when you actually see it in person. She's quite nice and I'd give it a conservative 6 + on a scale of 1 - 10.The black screens in the front and rear were replaced as the originals were absolutely horrible. The new black foam is the same that I use for replacing the Shure 55 S mics with and is top notch. it really does this mic justice and was professionally installed.
