You are bidding on the beautifully, hand stitched Freindship Quilt. Each lady designed and stiched a square, some stitched their name and date it was completed. It measures 7 feet 1.5 inches wide x 8 feet 2.5 inches long, 6 panels x 7 panels making 42 different hand stitched panels. Each panel (or square) is 10.5 x 10.5 inches square. T are 6 panels done in a Monday thur Saturday work schedule (see 4th pic), 1 Horse (5th pic), 2 Cats (2nd pic is one of the cats), 13 flowers, 4 Nursery Rymes, 6 Vintage cars, 1 Bugs Bunny, 1 Zebra, 4 Butterflies, 1 Xmas Tree, 1 Bird and 2 Plants. This is only the top part of a quilt. The woman who worked on this quilt lived in Baldwin Park, La Puente, Irwindale and West Covina. I purchased it in an estate sale in Bladwin Park, CA. The dates on the panels are from 1952-1955. Some of the panels are signed with first names-Mom 6/22/54, Barbie, Janette, Louise Mudgett 7/4/55, W. Browning 7/1/54 and Sharron 10/1/54.
