VINTAGE 1950S McKELVEY'S MINK REAL FUR OPERA CAPE WRAP - FREESIZE Description Gorgeous Vintage Mink capelet. Bought from America. This is a lovely vintage real fur opera cape. It has little hand pockets to the long pieces at the front. Inside one of the pockets is the Fur Label Authority - the number is K107656. Stunning medium brown colour. Designers original label:- McKelvey's Era:- 1950s Fabric label:- None but is mink Condition:- Vintage - The Fur is in very good condition with no apparent bald patches or shedding but the lining does have some issues. There are wear patches to one of the shoulders (see photos) and a piece has been cut out (this is where the initials of the owner are usually sewn in). We would recommend the lining is replaced or professionally patched. (please see photos). The label is also quite grubby as is the collar of the lining. The cape is still perfectly wearable though as is as these defects are on the inside only. Original size label:- none and due to the fit of the garment would be freesize Measurements:- (Taken with the garment laid flat and doubled) Width:- 54" across with the wrap laid open Length from top of shoulder to longest part of the front:- 25" Length from the back of the collar to the hem:- 18" Estimated Uk size is a size 8-16 this is only an estimate and the onus is on the buyer to make sure they have checked the above measurements for a perfect fit.
