DESCRIPTION The Miller Brewing Company was founded in 1855 by Frederick Miller. Miller High Life was introduced in 1903 and is Miller's oldest brand. The original slogan for Miller High Life, “The Champagne of Bottle Beers”, was morphed into the more familiar “The Champagne of Beers”. The slogan is a reference to the relatively high carbonation of the product. DESCRIPTION This is a mid-century lighted beer sign/wall clock advertising Miller Beer. The sign dates to the 1950s-1960s and features a colorful clock face alongside the familiar Miller “bow tie” logo. The older Miller High Life slogan, “The Champagne of Bottle Beer”, appears below the logo. A Plexiglass “shark fin” is missing from this sign – it would have run down the middle and gives this sign its “shark fin” moniker. There is a pull cord that comes out of the bottom of the case and turns the fluorescent light On/Off. There is a time-setting knob that sticks out of the bottom of the case below the clock face. The sign measures about 19.5” W X 9” H X 3.5” D. CONDITION This item is in GOOD CONDITION . I replaced the pull cord with a new one because the old one had been tied together multiple times. The sign lights up, and the clock keeps good time. The colors are bright, and there are no cracks in the plastic. All of the hour indicators are present on the clock. The red read more
