Two small pieces (36cm x 39cm) of Robert Stewart's 1953 'Sun Man' fabric. These pieces are used and have overall fading from the orginal colours. There are stitch marks around the outside where these pieces were unpicked in a previous life. A rare fabric, and enough to make 2 cushion fronts, or some smaller items. Many of my fabrics are vintage and several are reclaimed. I always describe my fabrics carefully – particularly if they are reclaimed – and I would never sell anything of a quality that I would not use. Even if a fabric is described as 'new' (ie unused) there may be the odd storage mark or fold mark that escapes my notice. I am the world’s worst photographer and I simply cannot do justice to the colours of my fabrics which are usually brighter and/or deeper than my photographs show. Please do not hesitate to email me with any queries about colour or anything else. Please note: the majority of fabrics I have are vintage french upholstery fabrics. These fabrics were made to be fadeproof - and I have several that seem not to have faded at all even after 50 - 60 years of usage! HOWEVER, I would strongly recommend washing these fabrics in a very mild detergent (eg Woolite) as I have in the past seen a curtain that has not faded in 50 years of use, lose its colour after being washed in a modern washing powder/liquid.
