I am pleased to offer this VINTAGE 1950'S ? ZIPPO LIGHTER - GW PURE SUGAR - USED CONDITION - NO RESERVE - at auction! I just recently acquired a collection of over 200 lighters from a local area estate. The lighter is marked with block letters "ZIPPO" on the bottom (see images). The top line is marked: "Zippo Mfg. Co. Bradford PA". The middle line is marked: " Made in - block letters "ZIPPO" - USA (see images). The bottom line is marked: " Pat. 2517191 - R in circle Trademark - Pat. Pend." (see images). The lighter is used and the case has some wear (see images). It has some light scratches, scuffs and silver finish wear (see images). The logo has enamel or paint loss (see images). The lighter will strike, although it will need a flint. It also has no fluid. I am not a collector or expert, so I am not sure of the date. I think the lighter dates in the 1950's according to the markings. (see images). Another great find f rom southern IL! I am starting this vintage lighter very low and without any reserve!
