Hello! Thank you for joining us on occasion for previewing an exceptionally scarce, advertising item from the "Golden Age" of the Milk Man. Offered here is an original salesman, dairy route account ledger, documenting the milk route and sales of an H.P. HOOD & SONS employee. The vintage pairing of ledgers are for the months of July-September of 1951. Both ledgers show obvious age wear; predominantly to the outer gilt cloth boards, with high levels of foxing and discoloration. The interior pages are tightly bound and clearly legible; being relatively crisp and supple. The exposed outer page edges show obvious foxing. Both ledgers should be considered low grade, being rather dusty and crusty; grading at (Good) over-all. The vintage milk man ledgers are chock full of individual account information, with several loose receipts and opening pages for "Districts Covered by HOOD Delivery and Branches Responsible". The ledgers close with "Your Work" and job expectations at the back of the book, issued by the Director of Laboratories at H.P. HOOD & Sons. A nifty pairing of vintage dairy route ledgers from 1951; making for a wonderful addition to any dairy enthusiast's collection and display. A fun research and perusal keepsake for the nostalgic.
