Vintage 1957 Nurburgring Race Track Program This auction is for a vintage program and leaflet from the 1957 Nurburgring race in Nurburg, Germany . The Nürburgring is a motorsports complex around the village of Nürburg , Germany . It is located about 70 km (43 mi) south of Cologne , and 120 km (75 mi) northwest of Frankfurt . It features a Grand Prix race track built in 1984, and a much longer old "Northern loop" track which was built in the 1920s around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains. The old track was nicknamed "The Green Hell" by Jackie Stewart , and is widely considered as the most demanding and difficult purpose-built racing circuit in the world. The program measures 8 1/4" x 5 3/4". There are 44 pages of pictures, results, stories, advertisements, etc. Some of the advertisements include Austin-Healey, Veedol Motor Oil, J.A. Woodhouse, Coca-Cola, and many more. The cover is in amazing condition with only very minimal corner bumps and edge wear, and the color and detail is beautiful. There is a very minimal crease down the center of the cover but it is hard to even notice and does not take away from the cover at all. All of the pages inside are in excellent condition. The leaflet is slightly larger than the book and is in excellent condition. On the front is an advertisement for the race, and read more
