PHILCO Date of manufacture:- 1957 Model:- A.3756 Vintage Portable Valve Record Player A genuine fully working super example of a quality 1950's record player. This is one from my own collection which need to downsize but at least one. It was purchased by me from the original owner, so it's not been passed around over the years. The photos give a good indication of the fine cosmetic condition especially considering it's age and construction. The clothette covering has no damage whatsoever but there is standard age related metal tarnishing to hinges and handle supports. The deck is a reliable BSR 4 Speed UA8 auto/manual deck. (16, 33, 45 & 78rpm). It will play records of all sizes (7", 10" & 12"). It can play a stacked number of records of the same size on auto or can play on manual . It works perfectly. The original old barrel roll-over Acos cartridge has been replaced with a later flip GP91 model. The stylus appears in fine shape, replacement styli are easy to find here on E-Bay or at on line stores such as MANTRA or CAROLE'S NEEDLES) The two controls on the top control panel operate Off/On/Tone & Volume and a white pilot light on the top is illuminated when switched on. The sound through the massive 10" elepitical internal speaker is crisp and excellent in volume with little distortion at higher volume. In fact it has two read more
